Community Service Opportunities This Weekend
*There are so many great reasons for children to volunteer in the community!
1. Serving those less fortunate is walking in the footsteps of Christ!
2. Volunteering instills leadership skills in your child.
3. Volunteering just makes you feel good!
4. Volunteering is important for high school and college applications and
is what employers are looking for on job resumes!
Encourage your children to volunteer and be involved in the community!
Listen, we are all busy! I sometimes wonder if I’ll ever sleep again:) But please, take time out of your busy schedules for others in need.

5th grade and older
Shift: 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

What a rewarding experience this will be!
“We have the opportunity to come together to love our neighbors as ourselves. On Saturday, April 28th, The Big Day of Serving will work in a practical way to come together as the body of Christ to touch lives. Our hands and feet will be cleaning up, landscaping, and painting. One of the most exciting tasks will be to restore homes that are falling apart. We will even be planting a community garden! The goal is to bring respect to the Tamarind Ave, Westgate and Meadowbrook communities of the area. At the end of just one day, we will turn around and see an area transformed. Our day will wrap up with an amazing “Fun Day” to honor the community in partnership with Urban Youth Impact. This will include a youth basketball tournament and a community cook-off.”
