Creating a Legacy

There is a story behind each member of the Royal Poinciana Chapel.  Everyone has a reason for joining and for making the commitment to worship God each Sunday at the Chapel.  The years inspiring preaching and sublime music are the result of the many great leaders who have served the Chapel.  Whether it be the Pastor, the head usher, the chapel president or the boutique chair, the Chapel has been blessed with so many people who care about the direction, the mission and the chapel’s future.

The Flagler Tradition

The leaders of the Chapel know that the congregation is ready to continue the tradition and the principles set forth by Henry Flagler and the original members of our beloved Chapel.  It is time to build on these principles by creating an environment for more enrichment programs, space for bible study, vacation bible schools and youth ministry programs.  As the youth minister for the Chapel, Greg Perrault has said, “I firmly believe that this is a case of ‘if you build it, they will come’ The fact is kids go to where kids are.  We want them here.”

Spiritual Growth

The Royal Poinciana Chapel is guided by the effective leadership of our pastor, Dr. Robert Norris.  Dr. Norris answered God’s call to come to the Chapel in 2004 and has been inspiring the congregation with his vibrant and authentic faith.  His vision for growth not only encompasses educational programs and benevolence, but our physical campus as well. Bob believes the renovation and expansion of Sea Gull Cottage will not only benefit children and young adults, but will provide space for life transforming adult education programs as well. The Board believes Bob’s vision will bring growth to every member of our congregation and that these expanded and renovated facilities are essential in helping the Royal Poinciana Chapel to Take the Next Step on our Journey of Faith!

Taking the Next Step

You can be a part of the many generations of people who have helped to carry on the tradition of the Royal Poinciana Chapel.  This is the time to create your own legacy, to be a fundamental part of history that will enrich lives of children and adults for generations to come.  Every gift is an investment in the future that God has in store for us.

There are many different ways to give and be a part of Taking the Next Step.  Here are a few examples. 

• Gifts of cash or stock

• Charitable lead trust (giving a fixed or percentage amount from a trust for a certain amount of years)

• Utilize the 401K provision of the current tax law

• Foundation donations

• Buy a brick for your family or loved one

There are more options as to how you can distribute donations over years.  If you have questions about giving, please feel free to contact our Co-Chairs, Michael Ainslie and Mitchell Watson, through the Chapel office (561) 655-4212.  Our hope is that every member and friend of the chapel will take a step of faith by investing in the future of the Royal Poinciana Chapel.
