Palm Beach Rehabilitation Center St. George’s Soup Kitchen Turtle Nest Village Urban Youth Impact Vinceremos Therapeutic Riding Center YWCA of Palm Beach County THE ROYAL POINCIANA CHAPEL has joined hands with BETHESDA-by-the-SEA EPISCOPAL CHURCH to build a house with Habitat for Humanity of Palm Beach County. Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us” And I said, “Here I am; send me!” - Isaiah 6:8 Habitat for Humanity of Palm Beach County is driven by the desire to give tangible expression to the love of God through the work of eliminating poverty housing. But, the love must not be in words only – it must be true love, which shows itself in action. A partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Palm Beach County provides an opportunity for you and your congregation to put your faith and love into action. A Faith Partnership is so much more than building homes – it is about tearing down walls and the opportunity to fellowship with diverse groups of people. It is about serving God by serving others. You are invited to join us for our next work day on Saturday, April 26th from 8:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 3778 Saranac Ave. in Westgate Village.
· No specific skill requirement is needed. Habitat provides an experienced crew leader at each work site, who will provide on the job training. · All tools needed for the day are provided on site. Feel free to bring with you (but not required) Hammer, Gloves, Tape Measure, Utility Knife, Carpentry Pencil, Nail apron/tool belt with nail pouch. · Drinking water is always available on site. · Do not forget to wear your Hat & Sunscreen. · Please wear appropriate clothing & proper footwear.
